Körmend

King Béla IV, known as the second founder of Hungary, granted township to Körmend more than 750 years ago after recognizing the economic importance of the settlement on the border.

The most famous attraction of the village, known as the center of basketball in Hungary, is the Renaissance castle with its almost 600 years of history, where very interesting exhibitions await visitors. In the 35-hectare castle garden of Batthyány Castle, visitors can walk all the way to the embankment of the Rába River, with 300-400-year old plane trees lining the path.
The newest tourist attraction of the town is the modern MJUS Thermal Park with its Mediterranean atmosphere offering a wide range of exciting services providing entertainment and recreation opportunities for the whole family.
