Kneipp Park and Organic Point

The soul and body of man could only be healed in unity—said Sebastian Kneipp, German Catholic priest in the 19th century. The principles of the therapy named after him inspired the design of the Kneipp Park. The 510-meter long dry barefoot path is only a few steps from the spa, and is covered with pebbles of various sizes, gravel, pine barks, cones, woodchips and sand. The barefoot walk that starts on dewy grass contains the three main elements of the therapy, offering refreshment for all ages. The park full of wonderful herbs and spices is also a favorite place for Nordic Walkers. Enjoy a few hours in the fresh air and remember: “Nature is the best pharmacy.”

Kneipp park

One of the most interesting spots of the Kneipp Park in Bükfürdő is the unique and futuristic work of art of Munkácsy Award-winning artist Csaba Nagy. The “sculpture” inaugurated in 2014 harmonizes well with the surrounding nature and water, and also pays tribute to the tradition of basket weaving flourishing a few decades ago. The prominent object is a perfect place for relaxation, but its extravagant appearance makes for a good photo spot as well.
