Ecumenical chapel
One of the exciting attractions of the spa is the ecumenical chapel opened in 2003, which is the result of the tireless work of a woman who returned to Bükre from America. Despite many hopeless situations, difficulties and failures, Mrs. Lászlóné Jezierski – Aunt Kati – realized her idea – with God’s help – and the chapel was built, which was consecrated by representatives of the three historical churches.
Perhaps many people do not know, but this building has an outstanding symbolic significance. It is well known that in 1957 oil was sought in the settlement, but “only” hot medicinal water broke to the surface. The result, which was recorded as a disappointment from the first moment, would be just a footnote in the history books without the interest, involvement and superhuman cooperation of the locals. It was the same uncompromising collaboration that led to the birth of this chapel, because with the coordination of Aunt Kati and the joint work and donations of local entrepreneurs, caterers and residents, as well as the local government, the great idea came to fruition. We can state that since 2003, not only physical but also spiritual healing has been available to bathing guests.
If you can, take the time to visit it, which is located a 10-minute walk from our hotel – you will visit a real local miracle.
